Goodbye Cash or Credit TabbedOut is Here.

We are thrilled to announce the release of TabbedOut this week, and the dawn of a new era in mobile payments.

As we all continue to re-open, there is no safer way to minimize payment contact than Touchless Payment™ on TabbedOut, and your staff and customers should ONLY pay this way going forward.

Here are some important steps to adapt your business for the new app. 

1. Set up your venue name and business hours 

In your UNION Manager Portal, go to Settings > Venue Details to confirm your venue name and adjust business hours that will show up in the TabbedOut app to customers. 

2. Update your logo and photo gallery

Users of TabbedOut will be able to see your business in their app from up to 50 miles away. The app will show your logo in browsing mode, and when a user clicks into your venue details page, they will see a swipable image gallery.  Set your images in Settings > Image Gallery.

Tip: Use this area to advertise popular drinks, specials, and show off your unique atmosphere. 

3. Determine your service flow for staff & customers

When a customer opens a tab on TabbedOut, the first thing they will see is an empty tab screen that indicates “Please tell your server you have a tab opened with TabbedOut.” 

Let your staff know that mobile customers will appear on the POS in a right side panel, indicated by a phone icon. Customers need to be “claimed” here in order to start their tab. Once you confirm the customer, items can be added like a normal tab or table. 

1. Customer opens a tab on TabbedOut at your venue
2. The customer will show up on the “Claim Customer” bucket on the right side of the POS
3. Customer orders items, and items populate automatically on their tab on their smartphone
4. When the customer closes their tab on their phone, the tab will turn blue, indicating the tip percentage in the bottom right of the tab. 

Note: Our historical data shows that customers leave a 27% average tip when using the app, as opposed to paper receipts. The tip is pre-set at 25%, and many customers just opt for the convenience of letting the app calculate this for them.

4. Educate customers about TabbedOut 

Utilize our marketing materials to promote the app to your customer base. Advertise on social media that you are accepting fully Touchless Payment™ with TabbedOut at your bar or restaurant.

It is important to let your customers know about touchless payments with TabbedOut at your business, and we are here to help you with that. We will be adding many items to the marketing kit, but utilize some of our designs to get started on promoting the app to your guests! 5. Finish your application (If Needed)

If you have not already filled out this form to enable TabbedOut, please do so now.

If you have already filled it out, we are still working on your application, and will let you know when your customers are able to open tabs from the app. We’ll give you a ring if we need anything from you. 

6. Download the app! 

Head over to the app store and download TabbedOut yourself!
